Assessment findings and data are used for targeted performance enhancement, and leveraged to promote excellence in student-centered training and service initiatives.

Purpose

The UMMC Office of Assessment was established to provide institutional oversight of academic program assessment, and systematic appraisal of student support services and administrative processes. The unit is responsible for instilling an institution-wide culture of assessment that is grounded in evidenced based-instructional design and delivery, as well as data-driven decision-making. A primary focus of the Office of Assessment is to support program assessment by providing a framework for continued analysis of student performance and development. In combination with these goals, the Office of Assessment provides resources to monitor and guide efforts in student engagement and satisfaction.
